Our wedding was an outdoor ceremony in St. Augustine, Florida, at 4:30 in the afternoon. The weather was warm, very windy, and overcast. The ceremony was performed by Holly's brother. The 2 bridesmaids were Holly's sisters. They wore T-length celestial blue dresses. The 2 groomsmen were close friends of Stuart. They wore black tuxedoes with blue vests and ties. The wedding was a small, intimate ceremony, attended by 36 guests, consisting of mostly family. The reception started in one area for cocktail hour, and then the party was moved to the reception area. The decor colors were celestial blue and dark brown. We had dinner, dancing, cake, drinks, and favors of cupcakes, blue and brown M&Ms in personalized shot glasses, and favor boxes that held blue jordan almonds. Our first dance was to By Your Side by Sade- we had attended a couple of dance lessons to make sure our moves were great.  Holly danced with her Dad to Holly Holy (a 1971 hit) by Neil Diamond. This was the song he played (over and over!!) the night Holly was born. It was really a special and meaningful song to them. The food was great and we all had a great time!

Although many people know this story.......Stuart and Holly met in January, 1993. It was a cold, snowy night in East Lansing, Michigan, a few days before the new semester would begin for Holly at Michigan State University. They were at Dooley's bar in a group of mutual acquaintances. He was 22 and hot. She was 20 and too young to drink. Holly knew where Stuart was staying and called him the next day. They started dating soon after for most of that year, and remained close friends through out the years. Holly moved to Arizona in 2003 as did Stuart's parents. During one of Stuart's visits to his folks in January 2007, Holly and Stuart spent alot of time together and a spark re-ignited. A telephone discussion about future and fate in June 2007 led them both to realize that they wanted to spend forever together.
